RightShip 90-day improvement planner

Six questions about where the vessel stands today; a phased action plan for the next quarter. The plan is assembled from RightShip's published factors — inspection validity, PSC performance, incidents, management continuity, close-out quality — not from a guessed score model. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you select is sent anywhere.

Questions

Will this tool predict my RightShip Safety Score?

No, and be wary of anything that claims to. The score model is RightShip's own and is not published as a reproducible formula. What is published — and what this plan is built on — is the set of factors RightShip says it weighs: a valid inspection where required, PSC performance, incidents, management continuity and the quality of observation close-outs.

Why does close-out quality get its own workstream?

Because a closed observation and a well-closed observation are different things. A close-out that states root cause, corrective action and preventive action with evidence reads as a functioning management system; a one-line "rectified" reads as paperwork. The difference follows the vessel into future vetting decisions.

When does the inspection age trigger apply to my vessel?

RightShip is lowering the inspection age trigger from 14 to 10 years in phases through 2027. Our age trigger checker takes a delivery date and shows exactly when each phase catches the vessel — use it before this planner if you are unsure of your position.

This is not a RightShip product and carries no RightShip endorsement. It assembles a work plan from publicly published factors and good practice; the Safety Score, vetting outcomes and inspection validity rules are RightShip's alone. Sister tools: age trigger checker · readiness reference · RISQ preparation checklist.
